Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • one plus year of experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • valid food handlers certificate required upon hire
  • excellent communication skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays

  • team-oriented with clear communication and a proactive approach to work

Job Duties

  • maintain an appropriate volume of plates on the conveyor belt at all times in consultation with managers
  • monitor the length of time dishes are on the conveyor belt during quieter services ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items specials and ingredients and explain these to other staff members
  • prepare and serve dishes following company recipes ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
  • respond to customer queries positively and politely
  • monitor portion and waste control following existing control measures
  • keep your section clean and tidy throughout service
  • receive deliveries and maintain correct food storage following first in first out stock rotation protocol
  • inform senior staff of stock that needs to be ordered timely using existing systems
  • support senior staff in creating and maintaining a positive calm working environment
  • communicate service-related issues to senior staff promptly
  • maintain excellent timekeeping
  • maintain high standards of personal hygiene
  • maintain a proactive attitude and use initiative helping other team members when time allows
  • maintain rigorous standards of hygiene cleanliness and safety
  • complete daily temperature records and health and safety checklists
  • ensure adherence to all h&s policies including haccp
  • dispose of waste according to company guidelines
  • familiarize yourself with relevant equipment procedures for use safety care and maintenance
  • highlight maintenance issues to senior staff
  • perform other duties as requested by senior staff
