Job Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- valid medical license to practice in North Carolina
- completion of ophthalmology residency
- board eligibility or certification in ophthalmology
- experience in ophthalmology consultations and procedures
- willingness to participate in community outreach and patient education
- ability to work flexible hours as needed
Job Qualifications
- Board eligible or board certified general ophthalmologist
- board certified vitreoretinal specialist (for specialist position)
- medical leadership experience (for Medical Director position)
- strong clinical skills in ophthalmology
- ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- excellent communication skills
Job Duties
- Cover ophthalmology consultations
- provide elective ophthalmology services to the community
- participate in outpatient procedures at the Ambulatory Surgery Center
- collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- engage with the expansive referral network
- support the growth and expansion of ophthalmology services
- fulfill Medical Director leadership responsibilities (if applicable)
