Job Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • valid medical license to practice in North Carolina
  • completion of ophthalmology residency
  • board eligibility or certification in ophthalmology
  • experience in ophthalmology consultations and procedures
  • willingness to participate in community outreach and patient education
  • ability to work flexible hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Board eligible or board certified general ophthalmologist
  • board certified vitreoretinal specialist (for specialist position)
  • medical leadership experience (for Medical Director position)
  • strong clinical skills in ophthalmology
  • ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Cover ophthalmology consultations
  • provide elective ophthalmology services to the community
  • participate in outpatient procedures at the Ambulatory Surgery Center
  • collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
  • engage with the expansive referral network
  • support the growth and expansion of ophthalmology services
  • fulfill Medical Director leadership responsibilities (if applicable)
