Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 6 months experience in a hospital, medical office or related setting
- ability to handle multiple phone lines and multitask
- excellent communication skills
- ability to follow hospital policies and procedures
- availability for per diem variable shifts
- professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months experience in a hospital, medical office or related situation
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask efficiently
- familiarity with hospital phone systems preferred
- professional and courteous demeanor
- high school diploma or equivalent
- basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
Job Duties
- Provide assistance in placing, receiving and relaying calls
- answer all incoming calls for providers, patients, visitors and the general public
- perform and respond to paging and code announcements
- provide assistance, directions and instructions to visitors, patients and the general public regarding hospital and patient information
- adhere to approved hospital policies and procedures
- maintain a professional and courteous phone manner
- support communication flow within the medical center
