Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- must possess minimum noncommercial pesticide applicators license from the Texas Structural Board
- preferred minimum noncommercial pesticide applicators license from the Texas Department of Agriculture within 180 days of hire
- preferred license categories: pest, lawn, ornamental and weed control
- good communicating and reasoning skills
- must possess a Texas operator's or class C driver's license and be insurable by the district

- minimum one to three years' experience mixing chemicals and pesticide application

- ability to communicate with personnel at all levels in the school district
- demonstrates willingness to work overtime, split shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as job requirements dictate
Job Duties
- Conform to all Board policies and procedures, administrative directives, and departmental rules and regulations
- perform all tasks required within the basic responsibilities
- assist in planning, scheduling and identifying chemical spray applications on all facility grounds
- mix chemicals for application as required by label
- apply herbicides and insecticides to playgrounds of all facilities
- continue to ensure all continuing education units required by the Texas Structural Pest Control Board are fulfilled to maintain current licensing requirements
- maintain a written record of chemical applications as required by the Structural Pest Control Board
