Job Requirements

  • GED or HiSET
  • ServSafe Food Handler certification
  • prior cooking experience in healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality
  • ability to work per diem with first and second shift rotation
  • availability for weekends and some holidays
  • ability to perform fast-paced food preparation duties
  • adherence to food safety regulations and standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ServSafe Food Handler certification
  • proven cooking experience in healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality settings
  • ability to follow strict food safety and recipe adherence guidelines
  • experience with short order or line cooking in a high-volume environment
  • competency in maintaining food quality and safety logs
  • effective multitasking and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Perform short order, line, banquet style, and pod cooking functions in accordance with HACCP, Joint Commission, and Department of Public Health regulations
  • prepare hot and cold food items timely following strict recipe and safety adherence
  • ensure appropriate supply levels to meet daily production needs
  • maintain temperature, quality assurance, and quality control logs
  • clean and maintain all equipment and kitchen tools
  • respond quickly and accurately to dynamic, high-volume food service demands
  • collaborate effectively as a team player in a fast-paced environment
