Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Ability to stand and walk for four to ten hours each shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
  • Ability to see at 20/20 vision with correction

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members
  • Knowledge of food safety and health procedures
  • Proficient in back-office systems and administrative tasks
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle cash and complete related procedures accurately
  • Ability to maintain composure and performance under pressure

Job Duties

  • Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and perform duties and coach or verify daily
  • Certified food handler and effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicate with team members, management, and area leadership through conversations and emails
  • Act as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction while exhibiting desired company behaviors and standards
  • Lead the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Follow and execute shift responsibilities including administrative tasks, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening and closing duties, inventory and ordering
  • Support the onboarding and training process including scheduling
  • Handle cash procedures according to company policies
  • Manage guest relations and coach team members on improving guest experience
  • Escalate employee relations concerns to the General Manager promptly
  • Attend all store manager meetings
  • Execute other tasks and duties as assigned
