Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
- Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
- Certified food handler
- Ability to stand and walk for four to ten hours each shift
- Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
- Ability to see at 20/20 vision with correction
Job Qualifications

- Certified food handler
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to coach and mentor team members
- Knowledge of food safety and health procedures
- Proficient in back-office systems and administrative tasks
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to handle cash and complete related procedures accurately
- Ability to maintain composure and performance under pressure
Job Duties
- Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and perform duties and coach or verify daily
- Certified food handler and effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
- Effectively communicate with team members, management, and area leadership through conversations and emails
- Act as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction while exhibiting desired company behaviors and standards
- Lead the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
- Follow and execute shift responsibilities including administrative tasks, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening and closing duties, inventory and ordering
- Support the onboarding and training process including scheduling
- Handle cash procedures according to company policies
- Manage guest relations and coach team members on improving guest experience
- Escalate employee relations concerns to the General Manager promptly
- Attend all store manager meetings
- Execute other tasks and duties as assigned
