- Experience in a pediatric dental office environment
- Previous dental or medical front desk administrative experience
- Basic knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes
- Familiarity with pediatric dental insurance plans and billing procedures
- Certification in dental office administration or related healthcare administration
- Bilingual abilities Spanish or other commonly spoken community languages
- Customer service or patient relations training
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome patients and their families ensuring a positive and comforting first impression
- Manage appointment scheduling confirmations cancellations and rescheduling to optimize daily patient flow
- Verify insurance process billing and payments and address related inquiries with accuracy and discretion
- Maintain up-to-date patient records including demographic medical and dental history information
- Coordinate communication between patients dental staff and external providers to support seamless care delivery
- Answer phone calls and emails promptly providing clear information and assistance as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements for patient privacy and data security
