  • Experience in a pediatric dental office environment
  • Previous dental or medical front desk administrative experience
  • Basic knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes
  • Familiarity with pediatric dental insurance plans and billing procedures
  • Certification in dental office administration or related healthcare administration
  • Bilingual abilities Spanish or other commonly spoken community languages
  • Customer service or patient relations training

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome patients and their families ensuring a positive and comforting first impression
  • Manage appointment scheduling confirmations cancellations and rescheduling to optimize daily patient flow
  • Verify insurance process billing and payments and address related inquiries with accuracy and discretion
  • Maintain up-to-date patient records including demographic medical and dental history information
  • Coordinate communication between patients dental staff and external providers to support seamless care delivery
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly providing clear information and assistance as needed
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements for patient privacy and data security
