Job Requirements
- High school diploma or active enrollment in a high school/GED program or one year of previous job experience in lieu of diploma
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Previous healthcare or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work evening shifts, including 4 - 10 hour shifts
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as transporting patients and equipment
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and hospital policies
Job Qualifications
- Must have the desire, drive, and compassion to provide an exceptional patient and family experience
- High school diploma or active high school/GED program enrollment or one year of previous job experience in lieu of diploma
- Previous experience in healthcare or customer service is a plus but not required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Job Duties
- Greets patients and families warmly and positively, providing verbal direction and escort assistance to visitors and patients to ensure their arrival at the appropriate destination
- Disseminates patient information to visitors as appropriate while respecting patient confidentiality
- Serves as a reference source for visiting hours, general directions, package delivery, and hospital policies
- Issues courtesy parking discounts, free passes, and patient scooters as needed
- Assists with parking cashier functions and validates patient parking
- Cleans, removes trash, empties linen hampers, and organizes assigned areas following procedures
- Replenishes supplies, makes beds, changes linens, and reports maintenance issues
- Assembles and serves meals according to diet orders and maintains food safety regulations
- Transports patients and equipment safely and timely between units
- Retrieves, sets up, and sanitizes telehealth carts for patient appointments
- Orders, organizes, stocks, and delivers supplies and equipment to patient units
- Answers unit phones, responds to call lights, socializes with patients, performs hourly rounds, prints and distributes daily care plans
- Adheres to infection control procedures and reports incidents according to hospital guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
