Job Requirements
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of management experience
- Minimum 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc
Job Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in high volume dining and high end catering
- Strong leadership skills with successful supervisory experience
- Proven culinary knowledge including purchasing, inventory management, production scheduling, and cost controls
- Passion for food innovation and creativity
- Ability to think outside the box
Job Duties
- Create a wide range of desserts, pastries, and baked goods, following both traditional and modern recipes
- Innovate and develop new recipes to enhance the menu and engage customers
- Decorate pastries and desserts to ensure they are visually appealing and meet quality standards
- Lead hands-on pastry classes demonstrating how to make specific pastry items
- Host onsite seasonal pop-ups showcasing specialty pastries and interact with guests
- Design and produce pastries for catering events that highlight specific regions or seasons
- Manage purchasing, inventory, production schedules, and cost controls to ensure efficient kitchen operations
