Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 1 year experience in baking or related field
- valid food safety certification
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- physical capability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
- willingness to wear personal protective equipment and designated uniforms
- adherence to company safety and sanitation policies
Job Qualifications
- Background in baking industry or related field
- proven understanding of baking practices, benchmarks, and food safety protocols
- certification in food safety is necessary
- understanding of basic mathematical principles and accurate counting skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong interpersonal abilities
- ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
- experience using personal protective equipment and wearing designated uniforms may be required
Job Duties
- Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
- set up workstation with all required baking supplies and equipment
- measure, weigh, mix, chop, and organize ingredients
- operate baking equipment including ovens, cookers, and mixers
- safely use kitchen tools such as knives during food preparation
- implement proper storage practices according to food safety policies
- sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after finishing work to prevent germ spread
- demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor when assisting guests and colleagues
- abide by Aramark safety policies emphasizing food safety and sanitation
- maintain security of company assets through strict adherence to safety measures
