Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years pastry experience in a professional kitchen in a high-volume operation
- Maricopa County Food Handler Card
- Must be available to work days, weekends and holidays
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and attitude
- Ability to follow food safety and handling guidelines
- Ability to work 6:30 am to 3 pm shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an apprenticeship or accredited culinary school preferred
- At least two years of pastry experience in a professional kitchen in a high-volume operation
- One year of hotel experience preferred
- Upscale or luxury dining experience preferred
- Maricopa County Food Handler Card
- ServeSafe Food Handler Certification preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain a professional attitude, demeanor and appearance
- Wear proper uniform and footwear at all times
- Consult supervisor if unsure of tasks and procedures
- Store all items in approved containers that are wrapped, dated and labeled
- Follow food handler's guidelines
- Sign in and out on the authorized form with supervisor's initial before leaving
- Clean all small equipment immediately after use
- Prepare items listed on production sheet
- Rotate old stock out first and ask chef if freshness is questionable
- Date and label all items going into freezer and walk-in, clean as you go
- Demonstrate commitment to reducing injury risk to guests and associates
- Know and act appropriately during emergencies
