Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years pastry experience in a professional kitchen in a high-volume operation
  • Maricopa County Food Handler Card
  • Must be available to work days, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and attitude
  • Ability to follow food safety and handling guidelines
  • Ability to work 6:30 am to 3 pm shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an apprenticeship or accredited culinary school preferred
  • At least two years of pastry experience in a professional kitchen in a high-volume operation
  • One year of hotel experience preferred
  • Upscale or luxury dining experience preferred
  • Maricopa County Food Handler Card
  • ServeSafe Food Handler Certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain a professional attitude, demeanor and appearance
  • Wear proper uniform and footwear at all times
  • Consult supervisor if unsure of tasks and procedures
  • Store all items in approved containers that are wrapped, dated and labeled
  • Follow food handler's guidelines
  • Sign in and out on the authorized form with supervisor's initial before leaving
  • Clean all small equipment immediately after use
  • Prepare items listed on production sheet
  • Rotate old stock out first and ask chef if freshness is questionable
  • Date and label all items going into freezer and walk-in, clean as you go
  • Demonstrate commitment to reducing injury risk to guests and associates
  • Know and act appropriately during emergencies
