Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years or older to operate bakery equipment
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and kitchen protocols
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and handle kitchen equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • Previous pastry experience is preferred
  • Works well independently and on a team
  • Follows chef direction
  • English literacy and ability to do basic conversions for recipes
  • Dependable and displays a strong work ethic
  • Attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Understanding of kitchen utensils, kitchen equipment, and safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Apply advanced and precise baking techniques
  • Use kitchen equipment for pastry preparation
  • Perform daytime pastry prep and plate desserts during service
  • Follow recipes according to company and chef standards
  • Adhere to yield guidelines and maintain detailed food knowledge
  • Follow health department regulations and sanitation procedures
  • Keep a clean and organized workstation and manage kitchen equipment setup and breakdown
