Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in pastry production or baking roles
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods
- Capability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment
- Flexibility to work varying shifts during busy seasons
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a pastry cook, baker, or similar role focused on pastry production
- Exceptional attention to detail and creativity in pastry making
- Strong organizing and leadership abilities
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in pastry arts
- In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, baking techniques, and nutrition
- Experience with baking accommodating dietary restrictions such as gluten-free or sugarless options
- Culinary arts, pastry-making, or baking certification preferred
Job Duties
- Specialize in the production of high-quality scratch-made pastries
- Efficiently prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, and other pastry items
- Craft components for composed desserts showcasing creativity and skill
- Develop new and exciting dessert offerings in collaboration with the Chef team and Culinary Director
- Decorate pastries and desserts ensuring beautiful and appealing presentation
- Monitor stocks of baking ingredients and order within budget constraints
- Maintain a clean and organized cooking station adhering to health and safety standards
