Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in baking or pastry preparation preferred
  • knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards
  • certification or willingness to obtain certification in food safety
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • commitment to wearing uniforms and PPE as required

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in baking or a related role is preferred
  • solid grasp of baking techniques, standards, and compliance with health and safety guidelines
  • certification required or willingness to acquire food safety certification
  • fundamental math and counting competencies
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to convey messages effectively in written and verbal form
  • physical capacity to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
  • ability to comply with uniform guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job Duties

  • Produce a range of baked goods in accordance with standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • get workspace prepared with all necessary baking tools and ingredients
  • prepare ingredients through measuring, weighing, blending, dicing, and related procedures
  • operate baking tools such as ovens, stoves, and mixers
  • adhere to safety precautions when using utensils like knives for food preparation
  • follow guidelines for the safe storage of food products
  • sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • prioritize exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude when dealing with guests, clients, and coworkers
  • comply with safety guidelines emphasizing proper food safety and sanitation protocols
  • uphold protection of organizational resources by following prescribed security protocols
