Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in bakery production
- FoodSafe certification required
- Experience supervising bakery production workflow
- Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety
- Strong leadership and team training skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work proactively and reliably
- Commitment to attendance and company policies
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in bakery production including dough mixing, cake decorating, and baking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety
- FoodSafe certification required
- Experience in supervising bakery production workflow, managing costs, and minimizing waste
- Strong ability to lead, train, and motivate team members effectively
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Creative and capable of supporting product development and innovation in bakery items
- Good communication skills in English
- proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset
- Familiar with tools and equipment relevant to bakery operations
- Demonstrates reliability, accountability, and a proactive, self-motivated work attitude
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and committed to maintaining good attendance and following company policies
Job Duties
- Oversee the production of all bakery products including bread, cakes, and pastries ensuring consistent quality and adherence to company standards
- Plan and manage ingredient preparation including doughs, batters, icings, and frostings for both standard and custom orders
- Supervise the baking process and ensure accurate execution of all production steps from mixing to finishing
- Monitor product quality, control inventory and waste, and ensure timely replenishment of ingredients
- Lead and support the Bakery Production team with fair task allocation, proper scheduling, and daily guidance
- Provide training, hands-on demonstrations, and constructive feedback to promote staff development and performance
- Participate in new product development and encourage team involvement in innovation
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment upkeep while ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards
- Support the overall bakery operation, respond to customer inquiries, and lead by example to foster teamwork and strong working relationships
- Fulfill any additional responsibilities as assigned by superiors contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the department
