Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of bakery production experience
  • FoodSafe certification required
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
  • Experience in supervising bakery teams
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage inventory and control production costs
  • Proactive and self-motivated work ethic
  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in bakery production including dough mixing, cake decorating, and baking techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety
  • FoodSafe certification required
  • Experience in supervising bakery production workflow, managing costs, and minimizing waste
  • Strong leadership, training, and team motivation skills
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Creativity and capability in product development and innovation
  • Good communication skills in English
  • proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset
  • Familiarity with bakery tools and equipment
  • Demonstrates reliability, accountability, and a proactive work attitude
  • Team-oriented and collaborative with good attendance

Job Duties

  • Oversee the production of all bakery products including bread, cakes, and pastries
  • Plan and manage ingredient preparation including doughs, batters, icings, and frostings for standard and custom orders
  • Supervise the baking process and ensure accurate execution of production steps
  • Monitor product quality, control inventory and waste, and ensure timely ingredient replenishment
  • Lead and support the bakery production team with task allocation, scheduling, and guidance
  • Provide training, hands-on demonstrations, and constructive feedback to promote staff development
  • Participate in new product development and encourage team innovation
