Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 2 years experience in high-volume pastry production
- ability to work full time Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- ability to supervise and manage kitchen staff
- strong organizational skills
- must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in high-volume pastry production
- strong leadership and supervisory skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to plan and develop seasonal menus
- proficiency in inventory management
- excellent organizational and communication skills
- culinary or pastry arts training preferred
Job Duties
- Supervises the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts and baked goods
- ensures recipes and standards are followed
- controls food costs and prepares appropriate quantities
- ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and serving temperatures
- monitors sanitation and maintenance of pastry kitchen and equipment to meet regulations
- supervises, trains and schedules pastry associates
- plans and implements seasonal menus
- orders and maintains pastry supplies and inventory
- performs other related duties as assigned
