Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience in high-volume pastry production
  • ability to work full time Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
  • ability to supervise and manage kitchen staff
  • strong organizational skills
  • must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in high-volume pastry production
  • strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to plan and develop seasonal menus
  • proficiency in inventory management
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • culinary or pastry arts training preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervises the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts and baked goods
  • ensures recipes and standards are followed
  • controls food costs and prepares appropriate quantities
  • ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and serving temperatures
  • monitors sanitation and maintenance of pastry kitchen and equipment to meet regulations
  • supervises, trains and schedules pastry associates
  • plans and implements seasonal menus
  • orders and maintains pastry supplies and inventory
  • performs other related duties as assigned
