Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a successful pastry chef
  • 3+ years of experience in a pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative with a problem-solving approach
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques, and nutrition
  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Craft dessert menus aligned with restaurant concept and locale while collaborating with Executive Chef
  • Prepare detailed recipe cards to ensure consistency among pastry cooks
  • Motivate, teach, and maintain a positive culture within the pastry team
  • Communicate openly with other chefs and incorporate feedback to refine recipes
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all workstations and equipment in compliance with health regulations
  • Report product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues to the Executive Chef promptly
  • Participate in employee meetings, contributing suggestions for improvement
  • Prioritize guest experience in all pastry operations
