Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on bakery production experience
  • FoodSafe certification
  • Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety
  • Experience in supervising bakery operations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Proactive and reliable work attitude
  • Teamwork and good attendance commitment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on bakery production experience including dough mixing and cake decorating
  • Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety protocols
  • FoodSafe certification required
  • Experience supervising bakery production workflow and managing costs
  • Strong leadership, training, and team motivation skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Creative and supportive of bakery product development and innovation
  • Good communication skills in English, proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset
  • Familiar with bakery tools and equipment
  • Demonstrates reliability and proactive work attitude
  • Team-oriented and committed to company policies and good attendance

Job Duties

  • Oversee production of bakery products including bread, cakes, and pastries ensuring quality and standards
  • Plan and manage ingredient preparation including doughs, batters, icings, and frostings for standard and custom orders
  • Supervise baking process ensuring accurate execution from mixing to finishing
  • Monitor product quality, control inventory and waste, ensure timely replenishment of ingredients
  • Lead and support bakery production team with task allocation, scheduling, and daily guidance
  • Provide training, hands-on demonstrations, and constructive feedback to promote staff development
  • Participate in new product development and encourage team innovation
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment upkeep ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Support overall bakery operation, respond to customer inquiries, and foster teamwork and strong working relationships
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities assigned by superiors to enhance department efficiency
