Job Requirements
- Culinary degree preferred
- minimum three years related experience in upscale, high volume fine dining restaurant and/or luxury catering operations
- proficiency in pastry preparation and production
- ability to manage inventory and ordering
- strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
- capability to supervise and develop hourly associates
- excellent communication and organizational skills

- ability to demonstrate creative and quality driven pastry skills
- good food knowledge and recognition of quality product
- strong knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on seasonal ingredients, production, sanitation, food cost controls, menu development and presentation
- excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles
- ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus
Job Duties
- Prepares, produces and orders for the pastry department
- handles, prepares and stores perishable products
- adheres to HACCP guidelines to ensure efficient, safe and sanitary food production
- develops menus focused on creativity and seasonal ingredients
- manages inventory and ordering processes
- maintains sanitation standards within the department
- supervises hourly associates including hiring, coaching and development
