Job Requirements

  • associate must be at least 18 years of age
  • completion of company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to work in moderate to varying temperature environments
  • ability to handle exposure to hot surfaces, steam, wet floors, hot grease, sharp objects, and mechanical parts
  • good vision including close vision, color, and depth perception
  • physical ability to reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch as required

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • one to three months related experience or training
  • culinary experience
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English
  • effective verbal communication skills in English
  • knowledge of cooking terminology and food safety practices
  • ability to use kitchen equipment and cooking methods
  • ability to use portion control tools
  • ability to garnish food appropriately

Job Duties

  • prepare products according to Fresh Foods Standards
  • process and package food items
  • stock products on shelves
  • provide customer service
  • clean work areas
  • unload stock shipments
  • reload salvage products according to standards
