Job Requirements
- Working knowledge of basic cleaning/sanitizing procedures
- Ability to properly mix and use general cleaning products and tools
- Ability to follow oral instructions
- Ability to work alone and with others in a team environment
- Minimum supervision
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Ability to communicate courteously and tactfully with residents and co-workers
- Sensitivity to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities, and disabilities
- Ability to occasionally work extended, weekend and/or evening hours
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitizing procedures
- Ability to use cleaning products and equipment properly
- Ability to follow oral instructions
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Effective communication skills
- Sensitivity to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities, and disabilities
- Ability to work extended, weekend, and evening hours when required
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Washes dishes, pots/pans, and utensils after meals
- Clears items from serving trays
- Rinses off food and operates garbage disposal
- Loads and runs dishwasher
- Returns items to proper storage areas
- Prepares and sets up beverages at serving area
- Keeps beverage area clean
- Cleans and sanitizes kitchen and dining areas
- Empties trash containers
- Washes storage areas, appliances, tables, and chairs
- Sweeps and mops floors
- Places purchased food and supplies in storage areas
- Performs related duties as assigned
