Job Requirements

  • GED or HiSET, Non-Graduate
  • ability to work per diem weekend day shifts
  • capability to lift and move kitchen equipment and carts
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ServSafe Food Handlers Certified

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a dishwasher in a healthcare or restaurant setting preferred
  • knowledge of sanitation techniques preferred
  • ServSafe Food Handlers Certification
  • good personal hygiene and hand washing practices
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and operate dish room equipment
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards

Job Duties

  • Use safe, sanitary food safety and equipment techniques
  • perform all five main dish-room tasks including tray assembly, cart delivery, retrieval, loading, and unloading
  • accurately assemble patient meal trays in compliance with diet orders and food allergies
  • maintain temperature, quality control, and quality assurance logs per regulations
  • clean and sanitize all equipment and floors at the end of shifts
  • practice safe use of chemicals and adhere to quality assurance sanitizing charts
  • work effectively as a team player in a fast paced environment
  • work independently with little supervision
  • perform additional duties as assigned including food prep and special cleaning projects
