Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum three years of dining room service experience
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of food, wines and table service
  • Ability to train and instruct others
  • Compliance with credentialing requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership and staff development experience
  • Professional appearance
  • Computer literacy

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, staff, direct and coordinate all dining room activities
  • Report on the status of dining services to the Director
  • Prepare bi-monthly employee schedules
  • Attend departmental meetings and training
  • Maintain meal registers and submit charges
  • Set up for special events
  • Maintain rapport with residents and respond to feedback
  • Ensure compliance with service standards and schedules
  • Operate within budget
  • Assess resident satisfaction
  • Hire, discipline and evaluate employees
  • Supervise wait staff
  • Perform waitress duties as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
