Job Requirements
- class a cdl license or class b cdl license with air brake endorsement
- valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- ability to pass motor vehicle report screen according to company standards
- ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration if required by law
- ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- must be 21 years of age or older
- ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Job Qualifications
- ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- 1 year experience driving a semi-truck or trailer or certification from a driving school preferred
- 6 months retail customer service or in-home delivery experience preferred
- 3 months forklift or Moffett operator experience preferred
- valid class A or B CDL license with air brake endorsement and relevant DOT compliance
- ability to communicate effectively with customers
- basic understanding of vehicle inspection and maintenance procedures
- familiarity with safety and security protocols within a retail environment
Job Duties
- provides smart customer service through the execution of Lowe's customer service policies and procedures
- seeks out customers to understand needs and assists with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, or loading merchandise
- responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions
- demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
- communicates information regarding stock, special order merchandise, features, warranty and Lowe's programs
- contacts customers about delivery or coordinates with drivers
- plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise on schedule
- pulls merchandise, builds and bands loads, and loads trucks within payload
- inspects product condition before loading or assisting customer
- matches items on invoice with loaded quantities
- ensures loads are safe, secure, and comply with DOT regulations
- updates delivery and route status on the system for tracking
- unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery
- verifies vehicle inspections, reports issues, and maintains cleanliness and repairs of vehicles and equipment
- completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance
- detects and reports signs of shoplifting, theft, or security risks
- maintains housekeeping standards and store cleanliness
- maintains a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews and adhering to safety requirements
- operates store equipment as needed
- performs additional duties as assigned
