Job Requirements
- Class A CDL license for multi-unit CMV operation or Class B CDL license for single-unit CMV operation with air break endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or the ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) screening according to company requirements
- Ability to obtain any required sales-related licensure or registration
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) regulations.
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with air break endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) screen per company standards
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration if required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
- Experience driving a semi-truck or trailer preferred
- Experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service preferred
- Experience operating forklifts or Moffett vehicles preferred.
Job Duties
- Provides SMART customer service through daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies and programs
- Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
- Listens to and responds promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary
- Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
- Communicates information regarding stock, special orders, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe's programs
- Contacts customers about delivery or coordinates with drivers for communication
- Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and ensures on-time delivery
- Pulls merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload limits
- Inspects condition of products before loading or assisting customers
- Matches items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions and model numbers
- Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with Department of Transportation regulations
- Updates delivery and route status on system for tracking
- Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery
- Verifies daily vehicle inspections and ensures cleanliness, maintenance, and repairs of delivery vehicles and equipment
- Completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance
- Detects and reports signs of shoplifting, theft, or security risks to management
- Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and maintains cleanliness and organization of store and work areas
- Maintains a safe and secure work environment including daily safety reviews and hazard noting
- Adheres to all relevant safety requirements including equipment and operational procedures
- Operates store equipment as needed depending on role and department
- Performs other assigned duties as required.
