Job Requirements
- Class A CDL license in locations with multi-unit commercial motor vehicles
- Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement in locations with single-unit commercial motor vehicles
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain upon employment
- Ability to pass motor vehicle record screen according to company standards
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration if required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to comply with Department of Transportation and commercial driver regulations
- Ability to perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain equipment safety
- Strong commitment to customer service and safety compliance.
Job Qualifications
- Class A CDL license or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or the ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) screening according to company standards
- Ability to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) and commercial driver's license (CDL) regulations
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Experience driving a semi-truck or trailer preferred
- Experience in home delivery or retail customer service preferred
- Experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading vehicles preferred
- Sales-related licensure or registration may be required depending on location
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain safety standards.
Job Duties
- Provide SMART customer service by following Lowe's customer service policies
- Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
- Respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, assisting with project walkthroughs when necessary
- Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers and communicate detailed product information including stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranty programs
- Contact customers regarding delivery or coordinate with truck drivers to facilitate communication
- Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery
- Pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits based on delivery orders
- Inspect condition of products before loading for delivery or customer assistance
- Match items on invoices with quantities loaded, verifying descriptions, items, and model numbers
- Ensure loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations
- Update delivery and route status using tracking systems such as mobile devices
- Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery
- Verify daily vehicle inspections, report issues, and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of delivery vehicles and equipment
- Complete DOT reporting to maintain certification and CDL compliance
- Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks and report promptly to management or Asset Protection
- Adhere to housekeeping standards and programs to maintain store cleanliness and organization
- Maintain a safe work environment by conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, and securing areas
- Comply with all relevant safety requirements including the use of safety cables, aisle blockers, and safety devices
- Operate store equipment including electronic devices and machinery based on assigned role and department
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
