Job Requirements
- paramedic certification through NYS DOH and NYC REMAC
- valid driver's license
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- BCLS certification
- ability to lift and transport patients with assistance
- physical and mental readiness for emergency medical situations
- ethical integrity and professionalism
- ability to work in variable weather conditions
- capacity to operate emergency vehicles safely
Job Qualifications
- hold current NYS DOH and NYC REMAC paramedic certification
- possess valid driver’s license
- current ACLS, PALS, and BCLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- strong knowledge of medical protocols
- experience with specialized emergency medical equipment
- excellent physical fitness and ability to work under stress
- strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- assess patients for signs of illness or injury
- provide advanced life support based on clinical training
- stabilize patients efficiently
- ensure safe and monitored transport to medical facilities
- manage accident or emergency scenes
- communicate with dispatch and other emergency services
- document patient care accurately
- administer advanced prehospital care using specialized equipment
- prepare ambulances for service after each call
- maintain certifications and attend mandatory training
- adhere to professional ethics and confidentiality standards
