Job Requirements

  • paramedic certification through NYS DOH and NYC REMAC
  • valid driver's license
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • BCLS certification
  • ability to lift and transport patients with assistance
  • physical and mental readiness for emergency medical situations
  • ethical integrity and professionalism
  • ability to work in variable weather conditions
  • capacity to operate emergency vehicles safely

Job Qualifications

  • hold current NYS DOH and NYC REMAC paramedic certification
  • possess valid driver’s license
  • current ACLS, PALS, and BCLS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • strong knowledge of medical protocols
  • experience with specialized emergency medical equipment
  • excellent physical fitness and ability to work under stress
  • strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • assess patients for signs of illness or injury
  • provide advanced life support based on clinical training
  • stabilize patients efficiently
  • ensure safe and monitored transport to medical facilities
  • manage accident or emergency scenes
  • communicate with dispatch and other emergency services
  • document patient care accurately
  • administer advanced prehospital care using specialized equipment
  • prepare ambulances for service after each call
  • maintain certifications and attend mandatory training
  • adhere to professional ethics and confidentiality standards
