Job Requirements
- Own a CDL-A tractor trailer or CDL-B box truck
- Have at least one full year of commercial truck driving experience
- Be an independent contractor owner-operator
- Pass a background check
- Complete a driving test
- Complete DOT required drug and physical testing
- Have no DUI or DWI convictions in the past five years
- Manage two qualified delivery helpers
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A or CDL-B license
- Minimum one year of verifiable commercial truck driving experience
- Proven ability to manage independent contracting work
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to use dispatch and delivery management applications
- Experience with furniture handling and assembly preferred
- Background check clearance
Job Duties
- Deliver furniture and accessories to customers and businesses in the local Savannah area
- Physically set up and assemble furniture inside customers' homes
- Use a dispatch app to receive assignments and communicate with dispatch and company representatives
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries
- Manage time effectively to complete routes within day shift hours
- Maintain high standards of safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Coordinate with helpers to ensure efficient delivery and setup
