Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience within the hospitality industry preferred
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to read and write legibly
- Ability to count
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
- Knowledge of chemical handling
- Physical ability to lift 25-60 lbs frequently
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, and climb ladders or stairs
- Availability to work full-time including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management
- Ability to count
- Ability to read and write legibly
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
- Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish
- Familiarity with proper sanitation regulations
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience within the hospitality industry preferred
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
- Detail oriented, organized, confident, and efficient
- Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions
- Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and stretching
Job Duties
- Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and areas after guest vacancy
- Dusting and polishing furniture, woodwork, light fixtures and ceiling fans
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
- Organizing and stocking guest supplies such as soaps, shampoos, and stationery
- Changing linens and towels in guest rooms
- Removing waste and adhering to recycling and hazardous waste disposal regulations
- Maintaining cleanliness of dining utensils using industrial dishwashers and hand polishing
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of kitchen and storage areas including industrial appliances
- Assisting with food storage, rotation, and preparation including salad making and garnishing dishes
