Job Requirements
- a high school education or its equivalent preferred
- ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding
- ability to count
- ability to read and write legibly
- ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
- ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish
- familiar with proper sanitation regulation
- knowledge of proper chemical handling
- high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
- ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
- bright and organized, detail oriented, confident and efficient person with great people skills and a can-do attitude
- ability to apply common sense to carry out simple written or verbal instructions
- ability to work with minimum supervision
- constant standing and walking throughout shift
- frequent lifting and carrying of up to 25-60 lbs
- frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
- ability to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
- occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
- ability to reach with hands and arms and perform repetitive motions
- physical ability to grasp, write, stand, sit, walk, climb, listen, and have visual acuity

Job Duties
- cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and areas after each guest vacates a room
- dusting and polishing furniture, woodwork, light fixtures, and ceiling fans
- sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors including occasional carpet shampooing
- organizing and restocking guest room amenities such as soap, shampoo, lotion, coffee, tea, and stationery
- changing linens and towels including bedsheets and bathroom towels
- removing waste from wastebaskets and ashtrays and disposing of it properly following health and safety regulations
- maintaining cleanliness of all dining utensils by using industrial dishwashers and hand polishing
- maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas including cleaning industrial kitchen appliances
- assisting with food storage, rotation, and preparation such as preparing fresh salads and garnishing dishes
