- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
- bi-annual BLS certification required (CHS can assist with meeting this requirement upon hire)
- 1 year of prior dental assisting experience preferred
- ability to adapt to different environments and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
- strong communication and organizational skills
- knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols

Job Duties
- Accompany the Outreach Team to provide patient care in community settings such as schools and nursing facilities
- assist hygienists with delivery of sealants and other preventive procedures
- support clinical operations in the dental clinic, including chairside assistance during fillings, extractions, and other dental procedures
- maintain and sterilize equipment following CDC and OSHA guidelines
- stock and track dental supplies for both clinic and outreach sites
- enter patient data and maintain accurate records in computer systems
- provide a positive, professional experience for all patients, especially children and families
- complete all required trainings through CHS and the Children’s Healthcare Alliance
- follow all CHS policies, procedures, and safety standards
- other duties as assigned
