Job Duties
- Provide flexibility to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays
- work a full-time schedule
- oversee multiple team members
- provide staff training and coaching on a daily basis
- conduct store opening, closing, and shift change procedures
- perform cash register preparation, float verifications, spot checks, end-of-shift cash reconciliations, void processing, and deposits
- ensure daily counts on cigarettes, phone cards, newspapers, and other required items are conducted and discrepancies reported
- enforce staff punctuality and proper uniform compliance including nametags
- report all staff tardiness and absences to management
- ensure customers are greeted promptly and served by knowledgeable, well-trained associates
- manage customer queuing effectively
- assign daily duties and communicate sales targets and procedural changes to sales associates
- maintain in-depth product knowledge, replenish and rotate stock on the sales floor
- uphold housekeeping standards such as dusting, folding, light bulb replacement, sweeping, and mopping
- maintain vigilance against theft and shoplifting and enforce policies controlling internal shrink
