Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Provide flexibility to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays
  • work a full-time schedule
  • oversee multiple team members
  • provide staff training and coaching on a daily basis
  • conduct store opening, closing, and shift change procedures
  • perform cash register preparation, float verifications, spot checks, end-of-shift cash reconciliations, void processing, and deposits
  • ensure daily counts on cigarettes, phone cards, newspapers, and other required items are conducted and discrepancies reported
  • enforce staff punctuality and proper uniform compliance including nametags
  • report all staff tardiness and absences to management
  • ensure customers are greeted promptly and served by knowledgeable, well-trained associates
  • manage customer queuing effectively
  • assign daily duties and communicate sales targets and procedural changes to sales associates
  • maintain in-depth product knowledge, replenish and rotate stock on the sales floor
  • uphold housekeeping standards such as dusting, folding, light bulb replacement, sweeping, and mopping
  • maintain vigilance against theft and shoplifting and enforce policies controlling internal shrink
