The Operations Manager Accelerated Program (OMAP) at Republic Services is an elite 18-month development initiative designed to cultivate high-potential leaders poised to assume future roles as Operations Managers. This program blends rotational assignments across critical business functions—such as Operations, Sales, Finance, Maintenance, and Post-Collection—with intensive hands-on training and formal leadership development. Participants gain a comprehensive understanding of operational excellence, business strategy, and team leadership within one of the most stable and essential sectors in the United States. Job Requirements

  • minimum of two years supervisory or management experience
  • willingness to relocate for rotational assignments

Job Duties

  • gain hands-on experience in core operational areas and support strategic initiatives
  • analyze business performance metrics including sales, gross profit, and inventory
  • support hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of staff
  • ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, and ethical standards
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement business unit strategies
  • build and maintain strong relationships with community, government, and environmental stakeholders
  • demonstrate and promote the leadership values of the Republic Way
