Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- ServSafe Food Handler certification required upon hire
- minimum of 4 years of work experience with at least 1 year at supervisory level
- excellent verbal and written English communication
- basic math and computer skills
- ability to maintain a positive attitude under stressful conditions
- practical hands-on knowledge of therapeutic diets
Job Qualifications

- ServSafe Food Handler certification
- minimum of 4 years of work experience
- minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
- related foodservice experience in healthcare preferred
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- basic math and computer skills
- practical knowledge of therapeutic diets

Job Duties
- Monitor work groups to ensure hands are frequently washed and gloves are worn appropriately
- uphold infection prevention practices and correct potential risks
- monitor work areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
- monitor food and equipment temperatures and escalate out-of-range issues
- monitor food and supply storage for proper labeling, dating, and rotation
- uphold safety guidelines for equipment operation
- develop department work schedules and monitor work group attendance
- ensure proper workstation setup, maintenance, and breakdown
- ensure adherence to written and verbal instructions with accuracy
- monitor completion of area checklists and forms
- ensure proper operation and care of equipment according to guidelines
- support leadership and other team members to achieve service outcomes
- enforce uniform specifications and take corrective actions
- collaborate with team members and leadership to meet goals
- communicate clearly and respectfully
- respect cultural traditions of team members and customers
- interview candidates for open positions
- facilitate implementation of work group goals
- monitor adherence to Human Resource policies
- document and provide corrective/disciplinary actions
- record attendance irregularities
- complete performance evaluations
- participate in employee engagement and team development
- perform other duties as assigned
- comply with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
