Job Requirements
- Master's Degree from an accredited nursing program with PMHNP or FNP certification
- current WV Nursing license
- maintenance of collaborative agreement with WV Board of Nursing if required
- current prescriptive authority and DEA registration
- valid driver's license and/or access to private vehicle
- certification in Crisis Intervention and CPR/FA
- one year experience in providing care to individuals with behavioral health conditions preferred
- basic computer skills for documentation and e-scribing purposes
- high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- ability to lift 15 lbs
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- strong time management and organizational skills

Job Duties
- Performs initial and follow-up psychiatric evaluations
- administers or requests diagnostic and laboratory testing and evaluates results
- educates and informs patients about diagnosis, treatment, medication risks, benefits, alternatives, and side effects
- develops and implements patient management plans and records progress notes
- prescribes medications for management of conditions and disorders
- refers patients to crisis services for further evaluation and triages suicidal or homicidal ideation
- interprets gathered data and makes decisions regarding patient management and treatment
- refers patients to primary care services when medical concerns exceed outpatient capabilities
- coordinates with primary care clinic team to manage patient needs
- coordinates care with external healthcare providers
- works collaboratively with medical and center staff to establish and monitor standards of care
- participates in peer review processes
- attends medical staff meetings regularly
- serves on center committees and initiatives as needed
- completes assigned trainings
- adheres to confidentiality, HIPAA, and risk management policies
- participates in related projects as directed by center leadership
