Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of driving and route management experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid Class D or higher driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain Medical Examiner’s Certification
- Proficiency in English sufficient for understanding signage and regulatory communication
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading waste
- Compliance with DOT regulations, including ELD usage
- Valid Medical Examiner Card
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and company policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 6 months experience preferably in driving shred/box trucks and route management
- Valid standard driver's license (Class D or above) with excellent driving record
- Ability to obtain and retain a valid Medical Examiner Card
- Proficient English language skills to understand highway signage, respond to inquiries, and complete reports
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to follow routing software and schedules
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local waste transportation regulations
Job Duties
- Manages assigned routes ensuring customers' waste is picked up in a safe, timely, and accurate manner
- Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations
- Plans daily schedule based on customers' needs by reviewing daily paperwork
- Follows routing software route schedule
- Prepares and loads trucks to service select accounts ensuring sufficient supplies are added
- Unloads trucks at various Stericycle and customer sites including securing waste
- Ensures customers have properly packaged waste according to compliance regulations
- Provides high-level customer service and communicates any issues to the Transportation Manager or Dispatcher
- Completes assigned paperwork legibly and accurately
- Communicates route changes or issues promptly
- Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle maintenance checks
- Uses ELD and Geotab to log hours according to DOT guidelines
- Reports maintenance or account problems promptly
- Performs other duties as assigned
