Job Requirements
- Clean and valid State Driver's License compliant with DOT regulations
- No convictions for reckless driving
- No DUI or DWI convictions within the last two years
- No convictions for hit and run accidents
- No convictions for leaving the scene of an accident
- No convictions for failing to report an accident
- No multiple state licenses
- No suspended licenses
- Must pass DOT physical exam and obtain medical card
- Must have cell phone with voicemail and texting
- Must be able to do overnight stays
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs and operate delivery equipment
- Must live reasonably close to Service Center
- Able to work flexible hours and alone for long periods
- Must maintain high attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be committed to drug-free driving
Job Qualifications
- Must be neat and organized
- Must live reasonably close to Service Center for on-time arrival
- Must be able to do overnight stays if required
- Must pass DOT required physical exam and obtain driver's medical card
- Compliant with Department of Transportation regulations
- Valid State Driver's License with clean driving record
- Above average verbal communication skills
- Good writing skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Must have a cell phone with voicemail and texting
- Able to work alone and in groups
- Able to sit or stand for long periods
- Ability to respect funeral professionals and their work
- Ability to lift 75 lbs, operate a lift gate and pallet jack
- Previous forklift experience a plus
- Able to retain and recall product knowledge
- Able to operate a computer including scanning and faxing
- Must be willing to work with customers
- Must be flexible
- Knowledge of State highways and GPS routing tools
- Committed to drug-free driving
- Above average mathematical skills
Job Duties
- Assist the Director of Service Excellence in leading the location
- Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips and submit report indicating truck condition
- Review delivery notes during loading to ensure all items are loaded and documented correctly
- Maintain driver log according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Verify delivery schedule is achievable and ensure on time delivery
- Double check unloaded items against delivery notes and secure recipient signature
- Collect COD payments when applicable
- Submit all signed delivery notes, logs, and paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintain professionalism and customer service as the face of Starmark
- Identify and assess customer needs to achieve satisfaction
- Build sustainable relationships through open communication
- Coordinate with Director of Service Excellence regarding refunds or exchanges
- Assist in loading and securing items in trucks using pads, stacks, and straps
- Assist in loading and unloading products on off delivery days
- Strive for continuous improvement in operations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workplace
- Perform other duties as assigned
