Job Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • have experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • possess a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
  • work effectively under pressure
  • possess effective listening and conflict resolution skills
  • possess strong communication skills
  • desire to provide excellent hospitality and guest service
  • willing to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at scheduled time unless directed otherwise
  • clock in/out for breaks at designated times
  • provide sufficient notice when calling out for shifts
  • ability to stand or remain stationary for long periods
  • ability to type, operate office machinery and perform data entry
  • ability to bend, stoop, crouch, lift up to 25 pounds and move throughout the hotel
  • ability to inspect details both close up and at distance
  • ability to read, write, understand and effectively communicate in English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • use guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcome
  • work together to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • maintain strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities
  • support all groups and events at the hotel
  • understand and use relevant technology for the role
  • answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
  • keep all front and back of house workspaces clean and well-organized
  • pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • greet guests kindly while cleaning
  • complete all operational checklists accurately and on time every shift
  • ensure handover reports are accurate and timely for shift-to-shift communication
  • wear a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed while smiling and wearing a nametag
  • communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • demonstrate willingness to stretch beyond traditional roles to meet business needs
  • collaborate to create a welcoming environment for guests and a positive workplace
  • complete all hotel audit-related reports by the designated time on the overnight checklist
  • follow overnight security measures including locking entrances and handling safety issues
  • receive and note all incoming mail per the daily shift checklist
