Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in accounting or hotel audit preferred
  • proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • experience in using property management systems
  • ability to work overnight shifts from 11 pm to 7 am
  • capacity to troubleshoot and resolve audit discrepancies
  • knowledge of Tribal accounting policies
  • strong attention to detail
  • supervisory skills
  • excellent communication abilities
  • adherence to grooming and uniform standards
  • capability to stand for prolonged periods
  • willingness to work in a dynamic hotel and casino environment

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of accounting concepts, techniques, and terminology
  • experience with Tribal accounting policies and practices
  • understanding of internal audit methods
  • familiarity with hotel accounting and property management systems
  • skilled in using 10-key adding machines
  • working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word
  • strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to handle complex and sensitive situations with discretion
  • knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance standards
  • ability to lead and train staff
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot daily audits
  • communicate with security to ensure safety of hotel guests and property
  • apply accounting concepts, techniques, and terminology
  • assist with month-end financial reporting
  • ensure compliance with gaming regulations
  • communicate effectively to resolve accounting procedure issues
  • maintain knowledge of guest service policies and operational procedures
  • monitor front desk agents for timely guest interactions
  • resolve guest complaints and ensure satisfaction
  • monitor cleanliness and organization of assigned areas
  • maintain knowledge of casino features, room types and rates, special packages, and daily business levels
  • assign and schedule work duties for staff coverage
  • enforce grooming and uniform standards
  • monitor and improve staff performance
  • oversee check-in and check-out processes
  • respond promptly to guest requests
  • assist guests with lost or stolen items
  • ensure compliance with cashiering procedures
  • conduct training sessions for new hires
  • provide staff performance feedback and handle disciplinary actions
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
