Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in hotel night audit or front desk operations
- Proficiency with property management systems (PMS)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform accurate financial reconciliations
- Knowledge of auditing principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle guest requests and complaints professionally
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to overnight work schedule
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of emergency procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with property management systems (PMS)
- Knowledge of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts
- Proficiency in front office computer software
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues
- Knowledge of emergency procedures
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Prior experience in hotel night audit or front desk operations preferred
Job Duties
- Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts
- Processes guest charge voucher and credit card vouchers
- Posts charges incurred on the night audit shift
- Transfers charges and deposits to master accounts
- Checks that all charges are assigned to appropriate departments
- Verifies that transactions are supported by documentary evidence and correctly posted in the PMS system
- Verifies all account postings and balances
- Monitors coupon, discount, and other promotional programs
- Functions as a front desk agent for check-in and check-out procedures
- Tracks room revenues and occupancy statistics
- Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities
- Summarizes results of operations for management
- Checks figures, postings, and documents for accuracy
- Prepares end of day procedures and follows Night Audit Checklist
- Balances day’s charges and makes corrections
- Performs wake-up calls
- Runs end of day processes in property management software
- Responds to guest needs and alerts management as needed
- Takes care of guest requests
- Maintains inventory
- Cleans and organizes front desk area
- Performs other duties as assigned by front desk manager
