- previous courier experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide clients with consistent and high-quality service through effective communication
- pick up laboratory specimens, deliver lab results, supplies, and branch lab deposits
- organize reports and supply deliveries to ensure clients' expectations are met
- train new couriers on routes and possess knowledge and skill to handle multiple routes and duties including courier, dispatcher, and hospital messenger
- operate company vehicle, conduct daily vehicle inspection, practice safe and defensive driving using the Smith System, and coordinate required maintenance
- utilize mobile data terminal to accurately record client stops, specimen counts, and update client route information
- communicate with dispatch by radio and telephone on all service-related issues
