Job Requirements
- Current and valid Class A CDL driver license
- Safe driving record
- Current DOT medical certification
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Ability to be insured under RRFB insurance carrier plan
- Completion of Servsafe training
- Ability to think strategically and resolve problems
- Independent decision-making skills
- Positive attitude and team player
- Ability to learn new software
- Self-starter and effective independent worker
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse individuals
- High interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Current and valid Class A CDL driver license

- Prior food handling or safety training preferred
- Experience in food banking and transportation operations a plus
- Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and proper storage techniques
Job Duties
- Delivers needed food to organizations, schools, and other partners primarily in central and northern New Mexico with occasional assignments elsewhere
- Occasional pickups of food products from local and out-of-state sources
- Transports fresh produce and other food products to Mobile Market sites and delivery points
- Cross-docks loads and unloads trailers at distribution sites
- Maintains DOT mandated paperwork using electronic logging devices and manages Mobile Market distribution paperwork
- Reads and interprets schedules, work orders, shipping orders, and Bills-of-Lading
- Ensures proper refrigerated temperatures for perishable goods during transport
- Observes local, state, and federal vehicle transport regulations and Department of Transportation rules
- Provides excellent customer service to partner agencies, donors, and the public
- Operates forklifts and pallet moving equipment safely
- Works independently while adhering to safety and security procedures
- Submits credit card receipts in a timely and accurate manner
