Job Requirements

  • Profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord
  • Subscribe to Young Life Statement of Faith and policies
  • Be ready and willing to fulfill ministry functions
  • Refrain from conduct that detracts from biblical standards
  • Abide by all Young Life policies including religious belief and ministry activities
  • Ability to commit approximately 10 hours weekly in addition to volunteer duties
  • Willingness to participate in fundraising and attend trainings
  • Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with students and adults

Job Qualifications

  • Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • College degree preferred
  • Experience in leadership within youth ministry or similar fields
  • Commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with Young Life's Statement of Faith
  • Ability to engage collaboratively in team environments
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Serve as a leader by fulfilling Young Life club, campaigners, contact work, and team meeting commitments
  • Plan and execute clubs and Bible study with your team
  • Participate consistently in team meetings and contribute to club and Bible study strategy
  • Maintain active contact work with students through school presence, games, practices, and community interactions
  • Partner with team and supervisor to implement camp strategy including promotion, follow-up, and participation in trips
  • Build and maintain relationships with key adults such as school staff, parents, and supporters
  • Raise personal fundraising goal of $750 per month while managing regional support of $250 per month
  • Fully engage in Student Staff Training modules, area leadership trainings, and leadership facilitation
  • Serve at major area fundraisers including banquets and golf tournaments
  • Support social media, communication, or administrative projects as needed
  • Adhere to Young Life policies and manage finances with stewardship and transparency
  • Maintain accurate records on kids, leaders, and donors
  • Develop yearly personal growth plan fostering spiritual life and active church participation
  • Lead and equip volunteer leaders, committees, and teams through training and supervision
  • Communicate ministry updates and maintain donor relationships
  • Actively engage in all levels of direct ministry including contact work, clubs, Campaigners, and camps
