Job Requirements

  • applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience in event management and leadership or combination of education and experience
  • proven experience in event management and team leadership
  • strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively
  • familiarity with budget management and reporting
  • ability to calculate and interpret financial-related figures for reporting

Job Qualifications

  • proven experience in event management and team leadership
  • proficiency in using event management software such as EMS Jira Slack Google Suite Microsoft Suite Outlook
  • CMP certification
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively
  • familiarity with budget management and reporting
  • ability to learn health safety and building management requirements

Job Duties

  • provide formal supervision to employees including training and development performance evaluations recruiting and hiring
  • coordinate and manage daily activities establish work schedules assign tasks and cross-train team members
  • serve as the primary contact for clients regarding meeting and event forecasts and strategies
  • act as the primary on-site operations leader for events overseeing all aspects from planning through execution
  • develop comprehensive event plans including timelines vendor management and compliance with safety and security requirements
  • provide exceptional guest experiences by understanding and anticipating customer needs ensure all spaces are reset to status quo post-events
  • implement enhancements for event success by improving processes procedures and systems review productivity reports and present findings to management
  • lead by example modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values influence stakeholders to reach shared agreements and build consensus
  • identify troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues
  • maintain department budgets and approve purchase orders for event supplies as requested by the team
  • ensure operations and vendors comply with location requirements track department SLAs KPIs and benchmarks monitor performance data and identify solutions
  • run reports and produce documentation related to workplace services operations conduct post-event evaluations and present findings to management for continuous improvement
  • provide fire warden and first aid cover as needed report hazards and ensure all operations comply with safety and security requirements
