Job Requirements

  • Applicant must have 2 years customer service experience (preferably medical)

Job Duties

  • Greets patients and visitors in a friendly and helpful manner
  • answers phones, answers emails/patient portal messages, checks voicemails, schedules appointments
  • sends messages to nurses for clinical patient needs
  • treats staff, providers and patients with respect
  • enters new patients information and updates current patients information
  • checks in patients through Phreesia by verifying demographics, verifying insurance, collecting and posting payments
  • collects balances and copays and balances all payments at the end of the day
  • gives patients samples, paper prescriptions, and paperwork left for them at the front desk
  • cleans out these areas after 90 days
  • unlocks and locks the front doors and closes office by locking doors and turning off lights after the last patient has exited
  • handles returned letters address changes
  • restocks the front desk as needed with supplies and paperwork
  • keeps work area and waiting room clean and neat
  • keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, reporting when repairs are needed
  • maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
  • maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential
  • enhances health care practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • conforms to all clinic policies outlined in the employee manual or received verbally from a supervisor
  • performs any other task assigned by a supervisor
  • working hours will be between 7:45am and 7:00pm weekdays and can also include 9:00am-1:00pm on Saturdays
