Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a medical office
- Six months to one year of multi-line phone experience
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of MS Office applications
- Ability to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM
- Willingness to undergo Tuberculosis screening
- Ability to handle routine administrative tasks accurately
- Effective communication skills
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple phone lines simultaneously
Job Qualifications
- Experience in a medical office
- Six months to one year of multi phone line experience
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Two years related experience preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Associate degree preferred
- Experience with ECW preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Job Duties
- Operate a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintain long distance call logs
- Maintain the reception area
- Schedule appointments
- Verify insurances
- Collect patient charges
- Take and distribute accurate messages
- Greet visitors and determine the nature of their visit
- Issue visitor passes and maintain visitor logs
- Alert appropriate party of visitor arrival or direct visitors to appropriate office, department or employee
- Respond to routine inquiries such as location, hours, phone numbers, and email addresses
