Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • strong computer skills
  • proficiency in Electronic Health Records
  • experience with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ability to produce written reports in a timely manner
  • understanding of medical terminology and billing
  • strong customer service skills
  • experience with Medicaid funded programs preferred
  • knowledge of third-party billing systems preferred
  • bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Job Duties

  • Verify insurance coverage for clients prior to admission and throughout treatment
  • create and maintain electronic medical records
  • obtain, track, and maintain authorizations for services
  • interface with Billing Manager to ensure claims submission and payment
  • prepare and mail patient statements
  • manage program inbox and respond to inquiries and referrals
  • support data entry for monthly reports
  • manage front desk duties including maintaining waiting area and answering phones
  • submit facilities requests and receive deliveries
  • maintain office appearance and work with facilities
  • organize office operations including faxing, ordering supplies, and maintaining cash log
  • establish and monitor office filing system adhering to guidelines
  • attend staff meetings and trainings
  • perform other duties as assigned
