Job Requirements

  • No prior retail experience required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • Ability to use hands for single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • Exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work in wet and cold environments
  • Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment safely
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to use tools and equipment such as box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery

Job Duties

  • Ensure a fresh and appealing meat display by checking quality, cleaning cases, stocking, rotating and removing out-of-date products
  • Maintain back stock in good order
  • Assist with sampling programs by keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing
  • Clean cases, glass, signs, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required
  • Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs promptly and effectively
  • Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising of products
  • Follow and ensure compliance with health and sanitation procedures, weight and measures regulations, and safe work practices
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties including accuracy of signs and pricing
  • Report safety hazards and violations immediately
  • Perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
