Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- effective and pleasant communication with guests, vendors, and associates
- ability to perform mathematical operations using money and weight measurements
- common sense and problem-solving skills to follow instructions and manage standardized situations
- meets state minimum requirements to work with slicers, saws, grinders, or other seafood/meat equipment and tools
- valid state food handlers permit
- valid driver's license or state ID

Job Duties
- Reporting for assigned shifts on time and prepared
- promoting sales through active discussions with guests and product recommendations
- providing guest service by greeting guests and informing them of special features and product information
- performing cutting, trimming, and boning of meat and seafood products
- operating equipment such as com-line, phone, shrink wrapper, slicers, knives, scales, vacuum pack machines, grinders, and saws
- assisting with training new apprentice meat cutters
- communicating and completing guests' special order requests with accuracy
- ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations
- participating in departmental accident reduction plans
